As a domestic violence advocate, you may face diverse
case situations and obstacles. We have tried to cover
as many of these possibilities in the individual housing
sections. However, if you have a specific case question,
you can always contact the HousingLink HelpLine at
646-472-0262.
The following provides a brief overview of the housing
programs highlighted on HousingLink Online. Click on any of these housing programs to learn more details about the eligibility requirements and application process.
Advantage NY
- Domestic Violence Shelter Residents
- General Homeless Shelter Residents
NYCHA Section 8
- Victims of Domestic meeting NYCHA’s documentation requirements for domestic violence are considered emergency applicants and are one of the few groups receiving NYCHA Section 8 vouchers at this time.
NYCHA Public Housing
- Victims of Domestic Violence meeting NYCHA’s
documentation requirements can apply as emergency
applicants.
- Domestic violence and homeless shelter residents
